Privacy

What we collect
For the waitlist, only your first name and email. If you sign in, your move month, a broad region and the work you love.
What we never ask for
Base, unit, deployment or orders details. We ask for a region only, to protect your family's privacy and operational security.
Resumes
Resume files you upload are read in your browser and the file itself is not stored. Resume text you paste into the tailoring tool is sent to CarryMyCareer's own server so we can check it for base, unit and orders details and tailor it. It is processed only for that request, is not logged, and is not sent to any AI service or other third party. It is saved to your account only if you choose to save your reviewed copy. Only the profile fields you confirm (name, headline, most recent role and skills) are saved to your profile, and saved data stays until you delete it or it is deleted under our retention rules.
If you turn on 'save my original text', we also store the resume text you pasted so you can compare versions later. You can delete it at any time.
Our tools may automatically reject text that appears to contain unit, base, deployment or orders details; we don't keep the rejected text.
How long we keep it
Saved resumes and original text: while your account is active; you can delete any saved resume at any time; a saved resume is deleted automatically 12 months after you last opened or updated it (we email you 30 days before); all are deleted within 30 days of account deletion. Deleted items are removed from backups within 35 days. Data under a dispute, fraud/abuse review, legal hold or legal process is kept only as long as needed.
Your choices
We never sell your data. You can ask us to see, export, correct or delete your data at any time. We answer within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first. Some records, such as billing records or data under a dispute, fraud review or legal hold, are kept only as long as the law or that matter requires.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and measure how fast the site loads. It doesn't use cookies, and it doesn't collect anything you type into forms or your resume. It records the page you visited, the referring page, your browser and device type, and timing data. We don't use it to identify you or for advertising. Cloudflare processes this for us as a service provider.
Who we share with
We share data only with service providers that run the service for us, including cookie-free page-view analytics (Cloudflare), or when the law requires it.
Children
CarryMyCareer is for adults 18 and older and is not directed to children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have, we will close the account and delete that information, except records the law requires us to keep.
